Zac Spowart with Love Unlocked, a guide to self-acceptance and conscious relating

Inside the Book

Love Unlocked™ is a journey into the many meanings of love: how we name it, perform it, lose it, and ultimately return to it.

This book is an invitation to look inward, to question the patterns we mistake for love, and to rediscover the language that makes it real. Through psychology, spirituality and lived experience, Zac explores how love becomes the mirror through which we meet ourselves again.

By Zac Spowart, MA, MBA. 16 chapters. Paperback, ebook and audiobook. ISBN 979-8-218-91024-2.

Why This Book Matters and Who It's For

Most of us were never taught how to love. Not ourselves, not each other, and not in ways that truly last. Instead, we learned through stories, heartbreak, survival, and trial and error. Love Unlocked™ invites you to slow down, unlearn what love should look like, and rediscover what it can feel like when it is rooted in truth, awareness, and choice.

This isn't about chasing fairytales or fixing what's “wrong” with you. It's about remembering that love was never something to find, but something to return to.

Whether you're healing from heartbreak, longing for deeper connections, or simply ready to understand yourself on a new level, Love Unlocked™ offers the tools, reflections and gentle guidance to help you build a love that feels like home.

In this book, you'll discover:

A grounded approach to bridging psychology and spirituality so love feels both free and secure.

Why the word love often hides more than it reveals, and how to reclaim language that truly fits your experience.

How early attachment styles shape the way you give, seek, and sometimes perform for love.

Ways to release old patterns, honor your needs without guilt, and build relationships that empower rather than drain you.

Evidence-based practices to break emotional cycles, cultivate awareness, and reconnect with your truest, most authentic self.

A roadmap for conscious relating, where self-awareness and emotional maturity replace old patterns of fear and control.

and so much more...

Zac Spowart, author of Love Unlocked

About the Author

Zac Spowart holds a master's in Addiction Counseling from Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School and an MBA from Pepperdine. He has been sober since November 2006 and has lived and travelled in more than 50 countries.

He wrote Love Unlocked™ not as an expert on love, but as someone undone by it, shattered by it, and continually humbled by it. The book carries the same clinical grounding as his coaching work, in a coaching lens rather than a clinical one.

Questions People Ask About the Book

How long is Love Unlocked?

Sixteen chapters, roughly 256 pages in print. It is designed to be read in order, but each chapter stands on its own well enough that you can start with whichever one describes where you are. Available in paperback, ebook and audiobook.

Is there an audiobook?

Yes. The full sixteen chapters are available on Audible. Some of the material is easier to take in read aloud, particularly the chapters on attachment and on love as performance, so the audiobook is not an afterthought.

Can I read part of it before buying?

Yes. Chapter 1 is free. It covers the word love itself and why the language most of us inherited for it does not fit our actual experience. No purchase needed, just an email address.

Is this a religious or spiritual book?

Neither, exactly. It draws on psychology and attachment theory as its backbone, and it does not shy away from the spiritual dimension of how people find meaning. There is no doctrine in it and it does not ask you to believe anything. If you want only clinical language, some passages will read as soft. If you want only spiritual language, some will read as clinical. That tension is deliberate.

Do I need to be in a relationship for this book to be useful?

No. Much of it is about the relationship you have with yourself, which is the one that shapes every other. Readers have found it most useful between relationships rather than during one, when there is enough distance to see the pattern rather than defend it.

What makes this different from other books on relationships?

The author. Zac Spowart holds a master’s in Addiction Counseling from Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School and an MBA from Pepperdine, and has been sober since November 2006. Most relationship books are written from theory or from one person’s story. This one is written from clinical training plus nineteen years of doing the work personally, and it says plainly where the limits of that are.
